Internships are another great way to “learn by doing.” Our department has connections with many of the top companies in our fields, and strongly encourages students to participate in internship programs. Internships offer real world experience for a short period of time, allowing students to test out different careers. Academic credit is available for completing an internship, and will count towards your degree.

A list of possible internship opportunities is available from the department, or the Career Services Office.

There are a number of scholarships available through the Cal Poly Financial Aid office, as well as through our department. Scholarships are an excellent way to pay your way through college; all you have to do is apply. Each year there are many scholarships that are not awarded simply because no one applied. So check the list, stop by the office, and turn in those applications!
